Complete carburetor kit from Malossi for Vespa Sprint, Rally, PX models. Suitable to replace the standard carburetor including carburetor sump. It cannot be combined with the standard oil pump of models with separate lubrication (e.g. PX Lusso). It is therefore absolutely necessary to add oil to each tank (simply use an oil measuring cup with the appropriate scale from our product range). The included suction port automatically covers the hole of the (to be removed) oil pump shaft. This can be easily pulled out of the engine housing.

The set increases the maximum intake surface by a whopping 125% for the 125-150cc models and by 44% for the 200cc vehicles (starting from the standard carburettor). Furthermore, the intake path is extended. This makes it easier to tune heavily reworked engines with a long intake control angle after the top dead centre of the piston (e.g. racing crankshaft plus extended intake slot in the engine housing). The extended intake stroke effectively dampens blowback, i.e. the blowing out of fuel from the carburettor. The engine runs much more powerful and cleaner, the carburettor can be tuned easily.

optionally such a connection offers additional space for the installation of a vibration chamber (Boost Bottle) to prevent the gas column from flowing back into the carburettor in extreme cases.

To convert the large carburettor into more power, the inlet should be adjusted according to the intake connection. Professionals additionally extend the rectangular inlet window which seals the crankshaft. Every square centimetre of surface is noticeable in the power output.

The kit contains an intake hose to the frame which reduces the intake noise considerably. An air filter is not provided. Correspondingly longer cables for throttle and choke actuation are included.
