High end professional brake for Vespa PK XL, PX, T5, Cosa, LML as well as conversions based on PK/PX fork
The disc brake from KR Automation in Germany has the nice nickname ‘tooth fairy’.

This is achieved by a CNC brake caliper with 4-piston as well as a Ø200mm brake disc.
The caliper is manufactured by a renowned German (automotive certified) company and has 2x Ø28 + 2xØ30mm brake pistons. To match, the brake disc is made of 5.5mm steel with Ø200mm diameter.
The brake fits on classic Vespa scooters with one-sided guided fork which either already have a disc brake (Vespa PX from 1998) or are to be converted from a drum brake to a disc brake (Vespa PK XL, PX from 1984, T5, Cosa, LML).
Drum brake models require a suitable wheel hub for conversion. This can be used from the PX models from Bj.1998 or the own wheel hub also developed by KR Automation. The brake caliper with its large piston area is suitable for use with brake pumps with a piston diameter of Ø12-15mm diameter. The smaller the brake pump piston the more aggressive the brake bite.
Therefore, in conjunction with an original brake pump of the PX models, beware of the high braking power.
Technical notes:
On PK forks, the usual damper offset plate, as on Grimeca brakes, is necessary. The brake fits ONLY in conjunction with the tubeless rims FA-Italia or BGM. Grimeca NT stars may require material removal on the back. This depends on the manufacturing tolerances of the wheelspacers. Shims are supplied for spacer of the caliper mount. The caliper must be spaced so that the disc runs exactly centered.
